The Musée du Louvre commissioned Hélène Fournié, through Françoise Gaultier, Chief Curator of the Department of Greek and Roman Antiquities, for archaeological drawing work, including precise surveys and clean digital renderings (Illustrator) of Etruscan vessel profiles.
In the field of archaeology, Hélène also completed two one-month residencies at the Malia excavation site in Crete, under the direction of Pascal Darcque and Aleydis Van de Moortel (École française d’Athènes). This work combined pencil surveys, vector drawing, ceramic sketches, decorative pattern recordings, as well as artistic restitution and interpretation.
