Scientific illustrations on nanoparticles & microRNAs

Didier Merlin, a professor at Georgia State University, specialises in cell biology, digestive diseases and the role of nanomedicine in the treatment of intestinal inflammation.
He is exploring new therapeutic strategies, such as here the fact that faecal microRNAs, loaded with nanoparticles, can be reinjected into a mouse suffering from colitis: there is then no rejection of these exosmoses, which are considered "natural" by the immune system of the sick mouse.
